Drone Video Reel

I’m often asked if I can fly drones in NYC for video and photography shoots. The short answer is, “Yes, it can be done”, but much depends on the exact location in terms of FAA airspace as well as finding a safe location to launch and operate from.  With my Part 107 FAA drone license I can request permission(a Waiver) from the FAA and local airports to fly in controlled airspace, but this takes a little time and planning. Some of this footage on my reel was legally shot within one mile of LaGuardia Airport.

Much of the drone work on this reel was shot in the Arctic region, in Greenland, Alaska and Northern Canada. As long as I can keep my fingers from freezing, I have always been able to keep the drone operating safely. Although I would really like to do some drone work soon in the Caribbean.
